Are You A Woman Struggling With Burnout, Anxiety, or Hormonal Changes?

a woman looking stressed
  • Do you feel like everyone expects you to be the perfect girlfriend, wife, mom, daughter, and friend?

  • Are you exhausted and feel like you’re constantly pouring from an empty cup?

  • Do you wish you had more room in your life for self-care?

You hold everything together — at work, at home, in your relationships — yet inside, you feel drained, irritable, or simply done. No matter how capable you appear, something inside you whispers, “I can’t keep going like this.”

You may be juggling motherhood, career demands, or family responsibilities. Maybe you're entering a new life stage — navigating perimenopause or post-menopause — and you’re noticing changes in your mood, sleep, energy, or even your sense of identity. Or it could be that you feel more reactive than usual, more sensitive to stress, or more disconnected from yourself.

Even if nothing is “wrong” on paper, you still don’t feel like you.

If that’s where you are right now, you’re not weak, you’re not ungrateful, you’re not failing. You’re human — and you’re exhausted from trying to be everything to everyone.

You deserve a space where you can truly relax, be yourself, and let go of the pressures and expectations that are placed on women in today’s world. That’s exactly what I offer women in therapy.

Why So Many Women Feel Overwhelmed — Even When They’re “Doing Well”

Women today are expected to be nurturing, accomplished, grounded, youthful, resilient, and endlessly patient — all at once. We’re taught to take care of others before ourselves, to be grateful and quiet even when we’re struggling, and to push through rather than slow down.

But at some point, our bodies and minds start raising the alarm. We may find ourselves snapping more easily, crying unexpectedly, or feeling resentment toward people we deeply love. We might also question who we are outside of our roles as mothers, partners, caregivers, or professionals. Or we may simply feel numb — like we’ve checked out of our own lives.

And when hormones shift — whether from PMS, postpartum changes, or the transitions of perimenopause and menopause — these emotions can intensify. It can feel like we don’t recognize ourselves anymore.

But therapy can help women to live with confidence and authenticity, validating their struggles and gaining practical tools to improve mental, emotional, and relational health.

Therapy Can Help You Find Your Way Back to Yourself

Therapy offers something most women rarely experience in daily life: a space where you don’t have to be “on.” No pretending, no minimizing, no guilt. Just honesty, reflection, and relief.

Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on you — emotionally, mentally, physically — and unpack how your past and present experiences are shaping the way you respond to stress. We’ll make sense of the shifts you’re going through, whether they’re hormonal, relational, or identity-based. And most importantly, we’ll work on helping you rebuild trust in yourself.

This may include learning how to say “no” without guilt, communicating your needs more clearly, understanding your emotional patterns, or developing tools to support your mood and energy when hormones are fluctuating.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach — your experience as a woman is unique, and therapy will be tailored to meet you exactly where you are.

What Working Together Looks Like

In our sessions, you can speak openly about anything — the exhaustion, the resentment, the guilt, the loneliness, even the things you’ve never said out loud. You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to hold back. I provide a warm, grounded presence where you will be heard, believed, and supported without judgment.

Together, we will:

  • Look at how your stress shows up in your body and relationships

  • Explore any unresolved experiences that may still be impacting you

  • Build practical strategies for navigating challenges in your family, career, marriage, and other areas of your life with more clarity and self-trust

  • Work on things like speaking up for yourself, setting healthy boundaries, and making sure you express your needs clearly

  • Examine how to make self-care a regular part of your life and prioritize your needs and values

My aim is for you to feel more confident and able to stand up for yourself. It’s perfectly okay to say no and prioritize your own well-being.

The Approaches I Use in Therapy

I take a holistic approach, considering how your challenges affect your mind, body, and spirit, so that therapy with me can address every aspect of who you are. Some specific modalities I utilize in session are:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy – A trauma-focused approach that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their emotional intensity. EMDR allows you to heal from past experiences that may still be impacting your present life.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – A structured, evidence-based method that explores how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. CBT helps you identify unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) – A goal-oriented approach that emphasizes your strengths and resources rather than your problems. SFT helps you identify what may already be working and build practical steps toward the changes you want to make.

Whether you want deep emotional healing or short-term coping tools, we’ll go at a pace that feels safe for you.

By the end of therapy, I hope you’ll feel ready to take on life’s challenges with confidence, and most importantly, feel comfortable being your authentic self.

Maybe You Still Have Questions About Therapy For Women…

What if I don’t have time for therapy?

I get it—you’ve got a lot on your plate. You’re committed to being there for others and succeeding in everything you do. But just like a car needs fuel to run, your body and mind need rest and care to keep going strong. Many women who’ve worked with me actually find that therapy helps them become more productive in their roles as caregivers, partners, and professionals because it teaches them how to set boundaries, prioritize, and avoid burnout.

Shouldn’t I be able to work through my problems on my own?

As human beings, we thrive in supportive relationships—it's where healing and growth happen. While society often tells us to be self-reliant, the reality is that we’re all better off when we have someone to lean on. And since you’re here reading this, it’s likely that you’ve already realized doing it all on your own just isn’t working right now. You know you could use a little extra support, and there’s absolutely no shame in that!

I’m worried therapy will take a long time.

There’s no one-size-fits-all to therapy. If your focus is on learning new skills to manage stress or improve relationships, you might only need a few sessions. However, if you’re planning to dig deeper and heal past emotional wounds, longer-term counselling might be a better fit. The most important thing is to be gentle with yourself, no matter how long it takes to reach your goals—healing happens at your own pace.
